Amal Valve
I think i've got a dodgey Amal valve, because when you wiggle the wires going to it with the engine running it clicks on & off like a nutter! (It doesnt do it with ignition on, engine off though )
So my question is, have i got to be careful when im driving it i.e dont drive it on boost or can i drive it normally without thrashing it around till i get a new one?
Thanks in advance
Cheers,
Dave

The AMAL valve will fail safe and reduce you boost when it fails completely.
(unlike air injectors which do the exact opposite and will overboost )
The valve is ONLY powered/actuated when the engine is running
as on some cars it is fed from the fuel pump running power line.
To me, it sounds more like a dodgy wire on the connector rather than the
valve itself so I would check there first.

Thanks for the reply
I'm glad you mentioned it was only 'live' when the engine is running as i was wondering.
I supose it's worth checking the wire first as it's the cheaper option lol
So this means i might have been robbed of some power recently then
Thanks again
