I know a couple of fitters who feel the same, one of whom is a Clifford dealer.

Only because Cliffords need a bit longer to be fitted properly and then you don't get any problem with them. I have always had a Clifford on my car. For 3 years I had one, no problems, and I have had this one for over a year too, nothing has gone wrong with it and no false alarms.

To say they are all rubbish is a bit off, it's all down to fitment.

Seademon - I see you are in Sidcup, my aunt lives in Sidcup. Where is your mate based, or is he mobile?

Forgot to say;

I have had a cobra too, very good alarms. The only thing I didn't like was that it used to go off if a window wasn't closed all the way up, or some air blew through the vents into the cabin, and you have to have those poxy sensors hanging down from the A Pillar.

And the lack of "gadgets"

This was 5 years ago, things may well be different now.
