just pull plug out of the ecu, they wont think to connect it back up, theives are mostly opportunists and wont be up for lifting the bonnet to find what is wrong

Pull out battery and all the fuses if youre really desperate.

Remove ignition leads from car completely.

Unplug fuel pump wiring plug

Or remove ECU if you know how.

If they really want your car youre still fucked, but it will slow them down and they'll have to tow it.
But should stop the opportunists.

Is there no other place you could park it? Surely for the sake of parking it at a friends for a few days could save lots of hassle and an uncomfortable night in a front Ford Focus seat.....

You still haven't answered my question....

If a bunch of keys were stolen (As you've said from your sisters handbag) Then how would the thieves know where you live? Or even what Ford car the keys fit? Seems there is a bit missing out of your story.....

Not being funny it's just how i'm reading it.............

Hope nothing happens anyway fella. Best of luck

Take out the fuse for the fuel pump, that way if anyone tries to start it, you'll hear it ticking over but it wont fire up, keep a baseball bat at the ready by your bed for the night...

i know that with the mercs new keyless keys you just get the keys you want the vehicle to start with programmed in, any keys that aren't part of the programming will not work because they get recoded (happened twice at work so far but £160 for a key is a bit much )

as for stopping someone from pinching your car when they have keys and possibly an address, take 2 wheels off from one side (to stop them taking the car away) and disconnect the battery (to stop them getting into it via the alarm fob or starting it)

put some wood underneath the jacking poinits to keep the car off the floor though, you don't want them to rob a few axles stands into th bargain as well do you

also consider unplugging on of the leads to the engine bay, that way, if they DO turn up with some rims and DO pop the bonnet to see the battery is disconnected, they STILL won't be able to start it up

either way, it's looking like at least a new set of locks for you mate
