Default Pc question(downloads)

Ok whenever i click a link like on here when someone posts a video, i click on it and it will then download the video but its downloading into "Temporary folder". so how do i change that to somewhere like my documents? also i cant even find this folder to see/delete vidoes, its not in windows folder which is where i thought it would be.

I normally right click the link and select "save as" and then select where i want it saving.

Oh and the temp folder is in MY COMPUTER> C DRIVE> WINDOWS> TEMP.

But i thought the files downloaded to that folder were automatically deleted after a matter of time.

But on some videos people post if you right click save target as, it just downloads a little I.E shortcut file to your desktop for the video and doesnt actually download the whole thing for offline viewing, only way of doing it is left clicking on the link which then of course downloads to my temporary folder which i dont know how to change or find, like i said i cant find the temporary folder in the windows folder either

rght click/save as shud download the whole file.
