Im still hope to have it ready for wednesday Jay. although current sticking point is needing the stabiliser mounting bracket that bolts onto the turbo as mine is damaged, might be able to liberate one from the old T3 i have lieing around, but its pretty corroded so it depends on how well i can clean it up as i dont want to fit one only to have to change it as its a turbo off job to do.

hi mate, no ive never been to ace cafe , the car was only finished 8 weeks ago. the problems at the moment are the prop centre bearing and the valve stem oil seals causing it to smoke a bit.the engine was rebuilt 2 years ago but sat in my garage for 18 months causing them to perish. itll be sorted after new year as i have had an invite from Performance Bmw to bring the car down to a track in leceister so it can be timed and tested against other bmw's.there cant have been many cossies in a bmw mag before

hi mate , what other suggestions do you have for the smoke?its definately oil(blue) . the piston rings where done at the same time and the t34 was only bought and fitted 6 weeks ago, and i had them take the turbo off again to double check the seals on that?

just had a new exhaust done 2 weeks ago actually. but its when i coast in gear then put the foot down i get a puff, or if i turn it off for a few minutes it gives a puff when i fire it up again. im going to take it to a different garage to get a different opinion from the ones that built it. is there specific tests that will determine exactly what the problem is?

That is cool as Łuck M8 A great combo there.
That E30 sport that Daviet has used to belong to my brother and i was toying with the idea of buying it and doing that to it. Decided to go for an other cossie instead though.
Did you come upon any major hic ups doing it?
On the smoking side of things it sounds like either the turbo or the rings M8

thanks mate, there was quite a few problems getting it to fit, a new sump had to be made to clear the crossmember,4wd manifold had to be used to clear the inner wing, front chassis legs had to be cut and reshaped to allow the rad and cooler to fit,new down pipe had to be shaped around the steering column, prop had to be made up using bmw at the diff end and cossie at the box end, problems getting the throttle cable to work with the pedals and the clutch had to be converted to work with the bmw hydraulics.i didnt do it personally,a garage done the conversion for me

Nice tool there mate, are you on E3Zone? I'm MarkT off there, I share the 325i with Chip.. Love the conversion there mate... Was it that difficult to do the swap??? What did you do with the prop etc?
