Just drove the cossie today....(with engine dyno sheet)
for the 1st ime in exactly 8 weeks since it blew up last
She sounded proper sweet so big up Ryan and the MMS crew for the engine
Just gonna get my mate Geoff to adjust the fueling and actuator tomorrow and she should be hitting 30 psi instead of the current 15 psi
Then book it in to Stu for a proper setup once my brother's wedding is over
Sods law, I cant boot it and as soon as i pull onto the main dual carriageway along pulls a Suzuki GSXR on his back wheel
Thought fook and gave it a bit and changed gear at 4k
Gonna have to get to get it sorted so i can have a proper play with bikes
Got the gauges in and they look but the oil pressure gauge was giving me 20 psi when i was pootling around town and about 40 psi when on boost upto 4k rpm - is this right as it sounds a little too low to me?

Cool
But that oil pressure reading is too low mate I would say, mine used to be 30psi on warm idle & about 53psi at a steady 3k. Has it got an oil cooler fitted as that would drop the pressure?
Cheers,
Ian

Oil pressure is too low, assuming your gauge is reading correctly.
Check accuracy of gauge first and if its correct them I'm affraid you'll need to take the engine apart to investigate as it needs a minimum 50psi from 3000rpm upwards.

Welcome to the world of "cossie paranoia". It'll never be the same again, once you've had an engine let go you'll spend the rest of the time driving around with the stereo off listening for weird noises! I do.

Plynchy - i tend to leave the stereo off anyway - too busy litening to the loud whisteling and whooshing noises
As for paranoia - yep you are defo right there. Whats even worse is when you put these gauges in cos u shit yourself everytime the needle drops a little

since mine decided to kill itself i've put an oil press.,boost and water temp. gauge in. Wish i hadn't now cos i spend all my time watching them for the slightest movement
Agree with comments above on oil pressure though.
