IIRC the bronze ones can withstand a higher temp for longer,

i had my head rebuilt with new bronze exhaust guides when i last had it skimmed... they were £6.95 each from woodford garage.

or are they brass as std..? ilike i say, i had the new ones fitted on the exaust sie and had the inlet ones re knurled before having it all built back up,, also had to have the seats removed and rebated about 0.5mm, the same had to be taken off the tops of the valve stems aswell (for obvious reasons )

Cheers Buddy , I was given these and new valves when I got my new car, but as I'm swapping the engine for a Vauxhall 2.0 16v XE on throttle bodies so there no use to me. I've not got a clue what they're worth so I'm quite chuffed. Aren't Cossie exhaust valves sodium filled and stuff?

Damo, I know and I wouldn't hesistate buying from them, it's the other 'too good to be true' home brewed 'sets' that are w*ank.

Andy - thought you were looking to buy some from there....
