How fookin hard is it to get hold of them, just called them up and it took 10 minutes to go through "press 4 for this, press 152 for that"

oh yeah, my second sky+ box has stopped recording

 

Does it keep coming up as recording failed, with a reason of summin like no signal? Thats what i'm getting all the time!

 

Either that or simply just not bothering to record in the first place!

I set it to record three films over the weekend while i was away, all three failed

She said no probs as long as i prdered before wednesday , and i said fine , so she phned back on monday and i ordered through her ( sales probably ) and she said the earliest her computer was telling her was 6th of jan 06 and i said no way ! but she said the only way she could get exzact date from system was by putting though order so done that obviously and was told i WOULD get it before xmas but now that order went through it turned out to be 6 th of fookin jan

Anyways she said there must be some mistake sir i will phone you back to confirm new date So i said great thanks , and guess what NO FOOKIN phone call 1 and trying to get through to her was never going to happin , enquired about it and call centre was telling me my date was set for 6th and that was it !!!!!

 

We did the same deal, upgraded to Sky+ and ordered an extra digibox for the bedroom.

Don't you find it strange that if you want to BUY something from sky, you get through in seconds, yet, if you want to remove/complain about anything, only one person deals with the call...

10 minutes, you did well I was at 49 minutes a couple weeks back, good job I had a few numbers to choose from, one free phone too Oh and they are there past 9

I got a Pace box to replace my shitty Amstrad one, not had any trouble with it so far touch wood. You cant choose what box you get however, it's down to what the installer has on the van, but you may be lucky!

or you could try this

pull the power lead out
before reconnecting the lead press and hold backup
keep your finger on backup button till all lights come up
on the front of the decoder then once all lights come up
let your finger of it, it will then say that it should take up
to 10 mins to update system.

tiff i dont know why your making a fuss over your pace box
mate sky plus is f**king shit mate no matter what box you
have, yea o,k pace is one of the best but thay still brake down


some intresting info for you lot over xmas on what to do if you
get no sky t,v

no satalite signal found is the most common one i get

check your cable for cuts, squashed flat, bad bends, bad connection
and go to your settings look at satalite signal this will give you an
idea what the signal is like.

has anyone come across some channels that dont work thay just
say no satalite signal found but yet you turn the channels over and
the rest of the channels work well yet again as above press backup
and reset your box this will update your old one

searching for listings but nothing happends what do you do yes do
the same as above press backup and reset the box make sure you
read what ive said above by taking the power lead out when you do
this

mate no matter what, you will loose them anyway dude i bet your
bloody drive is full this happends alot peaple say its not recording
when we turn up the memory is full and it will not record anymore
untill you delete some it works like a p.c mate, get your book out
and read how to delete some or how much space you have left in
the memory dont waste your time with phone calls dude there may
not be anything wrong with it, try it now

Ive had mine for around 2 months now, and have never had any problems at all
Oh and its a amstrad one

 

no lights

something you have done wrong mate.

pull power lead out
press and hold backup do not take your finger of backup
put power lead back in your still holding backup untill lights come on
lights will come up after a few seconds it does take about 10 seconds
once thaycome on it will say system reset

 

ive got 3 sky plus box's in my van and 4 standard plus the best
cable you can get not this bloody crap sky give you.
