Default Question for the resident plumbers

Can anyone tell me how to get the air out of my hot water system . When you turn on the hot tap in the kitchen it spits at me for some reason it seems worse in the evening bloody things driving me mad

could be quite a few reasons, like vent pipe off cylinder to small should be 22mm the vent pipe allso needs to be rising up all the way to the cold water tank, but if you only have this problem with just that tap it could be that where the hot water pipe is joined to the main pipe work, that conection is in the vent pipe and so it is drawing air down the vent pipe when you open the tap or that air that is being vented is geting traped in the pipe work to that tap. Try just opening the hot tap about half way and see if it still happens as it wont try and draw air in if the flow is not as great

Cheers Dunc. As you may know i,ve bought this house to raise funds to get my shop open and although there are numerous things i need to get done to it this tap is probably the most annoying The plumbing was all replaced about 5 years ago by the previous owners son and so probably isn,t quite up to scratch Cheers for the suggsetions ,i,ll investigate !
