got mine for £550 second hand but it had been rebuilt just befor with a new atb, but i got it cheap i belive, but you do see them go for around £500 to £750 dont know what they are new

i allso have the rear to match the front and they make a big difference to the car you can really feel them working in the bends when pushing hard

the front casing i beleive is around £650 +vat new and the atb is around £450+vat plus you need to have the unit built up then

get on the look out for a second hand one then if i was you dave as £1100 + vat + build up + fitting ( this is a bas--rd off a job ) sounds like your £1k has just been blown away.
Nice box kit, i thourght about getting one from mike just in case i went for more power, but i have stop me self !! at the moment.

why does evryone go for the quaife ? like theres no other options ?

what about a plated with long ramps ? would be nice and smooth operation too , at least it would never spin a wheel

I think it is the rebuilding cost and time where a Quaife is fit and forget job and i think for Road use is the best, but have to admit the price is a bit manly at the cost of the case

there are soooo many myths at how often a plated diff need to be rebuilt especially for road use, set up properly for road use in the front i would not expect to be taking it apart for at leat 50k miles, so thats easily the life of most peoples cosworths anyway

plate diff is a option, but it wouldn't be any cheaper than a ATB.
