Default great british justice

... got a letter from the plod about my accident! They want to prosicute ME for driving without Due care and attention! Other wise i pay £150 bribe money to do a day and half driving course to improve my driving... what will that prove? I can drive good for a day! 2 months ago i passed a HGV test with 4 minors thats a damn sight stricter than their dumb assesment!

why dont i just end it all now with a pile of sleeping pills eh? why do i bother! LIke i can f**king afford £150 when i couldnt afford the clutch job or gear box job for a driving assesment i shouldnt be takine for f**ks sake i stoped the c**t behind in the merc didnt! How on earth didnt he? c'mon his breaks are twice the size of mine! They are saying i took my eyes off the road and was late responding! NAH! i said in my statement, i did a mirror check, noticed a van moving towards the edge of the road on my n/s and the cause i was going down hill i did a speedo check then the tit in the polo decides at the last min to stop and turn right! end of the day! I F**KING STOPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worse thing is! I get 6 points... bye bye HGV!

just realised, i didnt post up here when it happened! On way home from work! Dude stops last min to turn right! I stop, Merc E320 behind didnt! crash, bang, bol***! Wrote of my Sierra, wasnt a lot, no RS on concourse but i loved it!

AS for above mentioned Gear box incident! Brought a 2.0 4x4 Ghia Estate! Knew clutch was on way out! Paid to have it done, less than 200 miles after having it done, box seized now garage having nowt to do with it, saying box was knackered anyway and clutch was s**t, well if clutch was that bad (i suplied, used them b4, think they are good) why fit it and i know the box was ok brought car from another FSOC member! Now im rolling round in a Mk1 fiesta older than me!

Not so good, especially as you consider yourself to be in the right!

Kinda putting the gun to your head aint they!

6points and "Driving without Due care and attention" & possible fine!

or

£150 course, No points and No fine! is that what they are saying?

I honestly don't know HOW you can possibly be peanilised for someone running into the back of you???

If you responded to the situation in enough time to stop then you were obviously leaving enough of a gap and were paying attention to the road. If the guy crashed into the back of you then it was him driving without due care and attention!!

You sure they haven't got mixed up somewhere along the lines??

How the hell can they do you for dangerous driving when there is physcial evidence showing you were struck in the rear forcing you into someone else??

The skid marks on the road should back this up as well???

If it was me I'd get a good lawyer and fight the fookers as this does not seem right!!

I would fight that mate, i bet they dont really feel they have enough to prosecute you.

If you take the course it shouldnt effect your no claims as taking the course is NOT an admission of guilt

Mate I am afraid I would take it up the arse on this one.

Senario1
You got to court and win KEEP HGV
Senario2
You go to court and loose- BYE BYE HGV license unless you can string it along for 2 years or more.
Senario3
Pay the 150- Go on the silly driving course ( they're poxy anyway and pointless.. My mate went on 1 for 2 days for this exact thing last week) RECONFIRM that the police are fucking idiots MOSTLY and KEEP your HGV licence

ps ive had to do a driving improvement course, kinda went sideways at a set of trafficl lights trying to turn left at 50... into the front of a S reg celica

anyway cops tried to do me for car and attension, course was a load of fukkin shite

there was a 73 year old woman, who was there cos she sent her automatic xara picasso accros a petrol station, hit a car and pinned the woman filling her car up to the pump

anyway, you go out in groups of 4, she was driving, we were ALL shitting it, come to a zebra crossing, little girl goes to cross (old dear still doing about 20) she dont stop, VERY fucking nearly has the girl as her mum grabs her...

instructor says "so why didnt you stop?"

decrepid old fuck that should be in a home "i didnt want to stall the car"

we were all like for fuck sake, you usless old toff

worst thing was, SHE PASSED THE FUCKING COURSE!

Dan, you cant fail the course.

When i went on it one old boy apparently mounted the pavement on the practical section of the course, and he ran over a pram, squashing it totally.
Im fooking glad i wasnt in that car, lol

LUCKILY the mother had literally just picked up the baby out of the pram just a few seconds before so the kid wasnt in the pram.

He passed the course despite losing control and running over a pram

Have you got a copy of the police report from the accident? If you want clear and concise help you must put all the facts up. What you have posted is confusing. Post it or when your talking to a solicitor have it broken in down into points ie..

I was driving down road at xyz speed

Car infront suddenly braked in order to turn right

I safely stopped without crashing into the car in front reg no:

I was hit from behind by xyz car reg no:

This then done xyz

Can you see where I am going with this? Your two posts have differing information in them, the first one suggests you stopped safely and a car crashed into the back of you without further incident. Then your second posts hints that you may have been pushed into another car infront of you after swerving a fiesta!

I was told on my course that the ONLY way to fail it was to be late or not turn up.

I passed the course, and promptly left the car park sideways in a mid engined nova

What i ment was i KNOW i didnt hit any other car! BUT if i can turn around and say that IF i did hit another car... it was only because i was pushed into it!

Dan, thought so! You're the one with the mint 3dr! Sell it me! Been after one for ages, was going to keep it looking std and fit a reasonably tuned 2.0 Pinto! Swap ya for my 2.0 4x4 estate when gear box is fixed! I'll even throw in the full RS kit i have for it! c'mon, at least think about it!
