What a crap chapionship though.
"World Club Championship"? Do me a favour.
I like Liverpool, and don't mind that they fluked the Champions League but Peter Crouch?
In an England shirt?
Heard he's also starring in new film:
"Crouching Striker, Hidden Talent"

When the Danes won the Euro Championship they only got in as replacements for war torn Yugoslavia iirc but lifted their game to win the whole shebang.

I know, I'm only on a half wind-up to get Lynne annoyed but I still don't think they were the best team that year.
They certainly aren't gonna win it for a long time to come if Crouch is the BEST you've got! Missed a trick not bringing back Owen menthinks.

Sorry, I didn't release that the team 1 point behind you in the league was so poor?
As for the beautiful game, since when did an Anfield crowd see that?
Anyway, since you haven't beaten such a poor team in the League since 2003, I'd suggest you pipe down and prepare to battle your way to a top 5 finish this season

How many goals have Chelsea or ManU scored with their multi-million pound strikers in the last 11 games?
Think on it Rich.....

........and we wont count Chelsea.
However, you did seem to have missed out Arsenal
Anyway, stats are so misleading. Crouch got two in that game last week - really? He was lucky the keeper was so poor, or he'd have had to have been "claiming" more than one.
Personally, I think the difference is that when Man U won the treble, they were viewed as world class. Liverpool are most certainly not at this point in time.

Not at all Lynne.
Spurs have been a very mediocre team for a long time, and haven't deserved any real success.
Liverpool, possibly apart from Newcastle HAVE to be considered the under-achievers of the Premiership, surely?

They're hardly under achievers if you take into consideration the total money spent on the squad. 14m is the top price paid [for Cissé] which was too much IMO, other than that 7m is about the most spent on a player. Look at what Chelski and Man U have spent on individual players, prices 20m to 30m for one player and each team has a few players they have spent that much on. So just who are the under-achievers when their squad values far exceed any other premiership teams. Mourinho has spent nearly 300m on players in the last 2 years. That's an obscene amount of money, Man U spent over 50m for just 2 players, Rio and Rooney. You'd think that Chelski and Man U would be streets ahead in the PL league and not have L'pool and Spurs anywhere near them.
I remember L'pool being 12 points behind the leaders at Xmas one year and went on to win the league and I think that's when it was only 2 points for a win.... so anything is possible.
