Default Help with Morrettes

I'm trying to wire up my twin headlight conversion, and I seem to have all the functions, but the inner lights don't light up at all.

When should the inner lights light up, and should I still be using my original sidelights?

The main beam still seems to be on the outer ones for some reason. I thought the inner ones should be the main beam, but why it's not I'm not sure.

TrevCos main beam is in both outer and inner ones. Are those new style MOrettes? I have manual for those on my computer.

The wiring if you have complete setup is pretty strraightforward.

Also both your original sidelights and the outer ones on the Morettes will come on with the sidelights. Thats why people tend to paint the original jobbies the body colour

I don't have sidelights IN the Morettes conected at all. Those are for normal Escorts rather then Escos.

Yes, my sidelights come on with the outer lights. And main beam comes on the outer lights, but I can't seem to get anything on the inner lights. I wonder if it's just a bad earth or something.

Anyone who has a wiring diagram, that would be great.

i had this problem wen i put morettes on my mk6. my inner lights didnt come on wen they should on full beam. i think it was summit to do with the wire that runs from the side with the relay on, to the other side. ie got the wires round the wrong way coz sometimes wen i put full on only one side would work with the inner one on aswell yet other side still didnt

The Sludge, thanks for that. There's obviously something not right somewhere then, because I'm doing it exactly as it says. On the drivers side inner light, I've got two wires coming off it, and one I've connected to the blue long wire coming across from the other unit, and the other I've made an earth lead for, and attached it to the bodywork. Is that right?
Does it matter which lead goes to which wire on the inner lamps?

I've got nothing from either of the two inner lamps though, and I've been trying allsorts today. I wonder if the relay's blown or something.

Any ideas anybody. That'll teach me to buy them secondhand! What a faff!

I assume you can't get these relays easily can you?
