Ive got a load through a sister company of Yes car credit called "Welcome" finance which is all quite nice!! Due to poor history i was left with no choice at the time and had to take it.... Works out at approx 70% interest!! Thankfully ive managed to get back on track to a certain extent and have now nearly cleared it! Fookin nightmare though!!

I think they were great (No I don't work for them)
All the stupid people who walked through their door, signed their House onto a HP lease so they could get a '51' Plate Focus.
You do that, you deserve to get fucked over. I mean, Im not against low income people, Im against stupid people that would risk the roof over their head so they can "keep up with the joneses"

Yes [and Welcome and in fact any sub prime finance company] exploit stupid fucking people that have no control over their personal finances or they would have been able to get a loan from their bank or somewhere that charges a reasonable rate. Yes was THE LAST STOP for most people that wanted to buy a car.
I don't decry anyone getting finance, it helps pay my bills and in todays day and age, car allowances are quite common so people would rather pay a lump sum off over time than have the disposable cash to do it there and then.
But I fucking love it when some jumped up little prick gets turned down by all the decent finance houses and begs to be put up on sub prime for Ł3k worth of car When you ask them "why do you think you got turned down" and they say "Well I defaulted on a Ł10k loan for a car, I never paid my TV off with Dixons, I joined a book club and never paid for them, I owe Freemans Catalogue Ł600 for a suit, my credit card bill etc. etc."
And they look genuinely shocked that no-one will lend them any money
Unfortunately with Yes car credit gone, it'll mean there's a few more idiotic pikeys pushing their 12 snotty nosed kids around the place, wearing D+G tracksuits, lots of Elizabeth Duke Jewllery and getting the bus

My brother naievly bought a car from them after he had CCJ's from a spell of unemployment.
Fortunately he purchased GAP insurance and it worked out several times cheaper to lose his 1 years NCB and the additonal insurance costs than to keep the car and pay the loan off.
Funnily enough we had an "accident" in the car soon after.
Good ridence to the dodgy company.

Also it only takes a few different addresses and wrong name spellings to get an alert on your credit record. and its hard to get these details corrected.

Its not insurance fraud when the car is actually crashed!!
He didn't intend to crash on the actual occasion that he did, but he had been driving like a loon a lot in the hope he would at some stage ( he was 19 and it was his second car so it was only a matter of time!)
Don't do the crime if you ain't prepared to do the time is a phrase i live by and i wouldn't run from the cops. I'm no angel and if I get caught then fair do's I'll take it like a man rather than endanger other innocent people.

Surely YES was only as dodgy as its clients!!!!!
Get off your rich high horses
Extortionate APR, you'd go in, they sign you up for credit then tell you with your budget you can have one of these giving you a choice of about 3 over priced cars.
They really were preying on the stupid
I know a bloke, not the most scrupulous person I've met. (Cheating on his wife, nicked Ł1500 from his mistress before doing a runner leaving mistress in debt and wife with baby, stealing from work etc) and even low life like him said after 3 weeks working for Yes car credit he had to quit cos he couldn't stitch people up like that
