Default PassionFords Future... Everyones Input Welcome....

Due to an interesting discussion that has began in mainly two other posts and a fw PM's i thought id lock the other posts and ask that you all give some form of input into the way PassionFord is currently run and financed... (Gold Members / Advertisers)

Heres the original links so those of you not involved can catch up...
https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=61634

https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=61860

Basically:
1) Are you happy with it as it is?
2) If youve contributed, will you be doing so again?
3) Any suggestions to raise money other ways?

So.. bring on any ideas guys as im all ears now

P.S.
When youve answered that lot, please see this post too whilst im in an administrative mood... https://passionford.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=895879

perhaps if you had more incentive more people would....as im sure theres loads who want to but cant be arsed!

I was under the impression that when you paid for Gold Member ship it was a lifetime subscription?

Although i'd gladly pay for the privalage again.

Perhaps worth charging to advertise your car and/or parts will help raise funds to keep the site going.
Although for example only a £1 charge per post in parts for sale i'm sure most regulars will be more than happy with that for the service, and a online payment scheme will make it very easy.

I think the site is fine Stu, I'll certainly be contributing again when the time comes. Unfortunately, money makes the world go round and to enjoy these things you got to give a little yourself.
I'm not saying everyone should contribute, it's a personal thing and I think it should be kept that way.
I don't regard it as any sort of class system either, those who pay and those who don't, it's just circumstantial to me

i dont own a ford anymore and dont visit that often now so cant really comment .
but as for the donations , i think its a good idea . however i gotta say i was getting a little pissed off with all the bickering and arguments from some of the supposedly "top tuners" its fookin pathetic and maybee someone should look into that side of things while the sites in discussion, that way the newbie's and non fordy's will be more willing to contribute to what is basicly a fantastic site thanx to stu and pet
sory to add that but its just my oppinion

Well on the other topic Phil had said he'd do the content stuff if you'd let him Stu. That would be good. I'm out of fresh money making ideas at the moment though! Will keep trying to come up with stuff!

All this, and I don't even have a Ford, I just like using this site!

On site I am administrator:

First all posts over 90 days are delete.
Second donations asked for, no amount too small.
Third only give if you want, no one needs to know who gives.

Running any site takes time and money, thats fact, the more input the better, swearing can be limited if required, but depends on your outlook.

Seems to be quiet political here these days, as someone else pointed out on another thread (i forget who)....seems to be less and less decent technical discussion to read on here by all people.

Most posts these days seem to turn sour, and or are just full of sh*t in the first place. I donated this time last year and am glad I did, but I dont think I will be again.

Due to the reasons above mainly, I dont come on here half as much these days, not much that interests me to read, and I dont get the enjoyment I used to.

Sorry guys

only thing that pisses me off, is the couple of people who are on this site all the time and have been since it started, yet cant be arsed to bung 20 quid in. im talking about top 20 posters here, top 10 most probably.

if someone cant afford it then hey no problem but the couple of people im thinking of have a damn site more money than i do yet it seems to be a `fook it, why should i bother when every one else can just pay it` attitude.

maybe thats all wrong, but i aint gonna lie, it right gets on me titz.

I'd pay £20 to use the technical essays forum alone!

No quibbles from me, except when Mark and I go on our anti-Lewis crusade again

Money well spent - never ceases to amaze me how much you get in return on this website...................

Top site, and great content for all ford models be it a Ka or a RS500.
People are great too, with a few exceptions. A select few always seem to turn a post into a bitch fight. Had some great advice and will be contributing in the near future Much better layout than the RSOC used to be(it may be great now just not been there 4 18months or so)
Access is great now with super fast page loading, never had a problem with slow down @ peak times
Keep up the Good Work
