Default Starlet turbo power?

Can this be right? Just wondering as it seems a lot for a 1.3 turbo with no internal engine work? All at 1bar too. Don't know much about these cars, i'm just curious thats all.

1993 Toyota Starlet GT turbo, I am using a TD04L turbo off a 04 Subaru Impreza WRX which has given me 217 BHP At the fly at 1 bar of boost

My mods at the moment are:

Engine:
TD04L Turbo
Custom Manifold
Custom Downpipe
WEPR 2.5 Inch Exhaust System
PWR Front Mount Intercooler
Custom Stainless Steel Intercooler Piping
Turbo XS Dump Valve
Sard Rising Rate Fuel Pressure Regulator
Walbro 255LPH Fuel Pump
TRD Thermostat
WEPR Dual Row Radiator
Sard 1.3 Bar Radiator Cap
Relocated Expansion Bottle
Blitz Cooling Hoses
K&N Induction Kit mounted on the Turbo
Blitz Access ECU
Greddy Profec E-01 Boost Controller
Cusco Oil Catch Can
TRD Clutch
LSD
TRD Shortshifter

True I saw a car of the very same description being run on AVA's rollers today.

Very Very Impressive figures for a 1.3 on standard internals.

One to watch out for on the strip I'd have thought

They are pure tampon cars here - every c*nt has one! Standard i can see them off in my RS2000, so i was quite surprised to hear they can get that kind of power gain from not that much work!

These mini beasts are suprisingly shifty considering the engine capacity, I quite like them

Such light little cars aswell ok not the best looking.

Im certain the figures were 197@wheels and peak power was around 7500rpm. A guestimate on the fly figure would have been given as you quote

Cool, it just that it was posted on a site where power figures are often exagerrated (spelling )

Are they popular on the mainland? They fetch silly silly money here.

A mate of mine has one, 187bhp it made the other day, with not really that much done to it! (133bhp as standard i think?)

Very nice, and quick car in my opinion!

But aye, 217bhp is definately do-able i rekon.

they are quick little cars, and dont seem to suffer from turbo lag,

my mate has one, even though its not in use due to him being banned,

it used to keep up witht my s1 until i got 21 psi

he has spent around 3k on the engine,

still on std cooler and turbo tho,

electronic boost controller, £800 HKS s/s exhaust

is it all because Colin now has one and everyone wants to be like him? lmao

rst's arent all that heavy! sub 1000kg yes? so starlet must be quite light if you're saying lighter! im guessing up to a ton they are quite nippy and would give cossies a run
