Just wondering, as you do , well all spend mega money on engines, gearboxes brakes etc, but how come no-one has really looked at developing decent aero- packages for RS's?? I know escys and 3 doors have big dirty whale tails, but stuff like smooth floors or aero pakages like rear diffusers etc? Is it due to the cost vs gains??

 

car companies tend to do this when they design cars

having said that there are some gains to be made but only when your doing xxx MHP its an exact science and unless you can do 200 and compare the difference or you have access to a wind tunnel chances are you wont notice shit

 

and the car will looks shite too which is worse

areo packages are based on what the cars soley used for, streamline the car for top speed then you will loose else where too i would have thought ( but agin prob never notice )

main thing is you would look a dick with stream line wing mirrors and a huge spoiler and defuser sticking out the bottom bumper on a stage 3 cossie

 

Possibley the fact that a wind tunnel costs £10k a day?

 

mike its more the 10k a day for 3/8's of a second or even a extra 2mph

we could all just tape our bonnets up and remove the wing mirrors but then thats pointless to drive in london
