Amazing how things change without noticing eh 
I used to love the books this bloke drew! I had a couple from the 60's from when my sister was young (shes 14 years older than me )

Fascinating - don't think it's that bad really, just interesting.
Surely though if it was genuinely changed to be more realistic it would have:
Letter carrier going through peoples mail to find cash and vouchers in cards.
Firemen on strike.
Farmer and wife selling up because they gre GM poduce.
Lad in car being stopped for no insurance.
Police officer letting him off because he's an assylum seeker.
Father and sister out dogging.
Sister in bathroom making net fetish videos.
