thats a little like the fast cars seem to be white and so im respraying mine
EFI managment is decent IF set up right !!!!
the mods for cossie would be to machine the fly wheel to have 4 triggers rather than the 36 to 1 trigger it has and a few new sensors, loads of cash, swop of loom and still relys on the set up
get it live mapped by either kenny@MSD or grove garage who do alex's car as that seems to go well for a girls car

How and why is OFAB better?
Ive got everything i need to convert over to EFI but my ecu is OFAC?
the later ecu ofac runs a different map sensor not 2.5 or 3 bar as u can with ofab and u cant run what u can on an ofab then a ofac. ofab u can run over an bar with ofac ur cant unless u go and see grove or stu

just buy a oafb ecu and air temp sensor and a map sensor aswell as a slight ecu pin swop and a new multi plug for the ecu
or visit kenny@MSD or grove, but im sure that for over 22psi they would rather a ofab ecu tbh the ecu wont have a boost limit and the fueling would be alittle estimated as such

mine started as a 16v cabrio,,,,,,,,,, then ended up as a 1.6 steel engine then urban legend on here poped into my work with 4500 quid wavign it about in my face,,,,,,,,,,, i went to the doctors the following day and got a weeks sick note to remove the engine
btw ive still got my cabrio AND ive bought a engine, i ported MY OWN HEAD, non of this cheque book racer bollox and ive timed my own cossie engine
not bad for a former traffic warden

i can't see that it is necessary when using weber management to do things like machining a crank pulley to have 4 lugs? obviously that what they run with on cossies, but that doesn't make it better. surely it's possible to reprogram it to use the 36-1 signal?
and fitting a map sensor with higher range to the ofac would surely be easier than changing the whole management system?

they dont though for the ofac hence why its recomended to change ecu's
same with the cossie management if it was possable then it would be done too
do you honestly belive not 1 tuner/mapper as thought of doing such things in 15 years

b19bal it's not impossible. and i don't believe that it hasn't been done by somebody.
just because it's not public knowledge yet, doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

i think that you'll find that fords were sold in other countries in the world
, and there's a lot of clever people out there. i reckon it's been done, or if not, there are people that could easily do it.
but if there's a tried and tested route that people want to follow rather than innovate, then good for them
