Why do people say brought instead of bought?!?!?!
AARRGGHHH!! As above!
It's so annoying!
If you purchase something then you have BOUGHT it, not brought it! If someone asks you to go fetch something for them and you take it to them then you have BROUGHT it to them!
Please take note and stop doing this, it's driving me bonkers

Man you have started a right one here. What about dime bars that cant say "three" properly.
Example !
One ... two..... free !!!!
or sometimes it comes out as "fweeee".
"TH" is now "F"
Right oh!
also specific and pacific is a common one, makes me laugh my ass off.
This thread will fly.

The worst one which really does my head in is....
Loose and looser instead of LOSE and LOSER
Loose means:
1 a : not rigidly fastened or securely attached b (1) : having worked partly free from attachments <a loose tooth> (2) : having relative freedom of movement c : produced freely and accompanied by raising of mucus <a loose cough> d : not tight-fitting
2 a : free from a state of confinement, restraint, or obligation <a lion loose in the streets> <spend loose funds wisely> b : not brought together in a bundle, container, or binding c archaic : DISCONNECTED, DETACHED
3 : not dense, close, or compact in structure or arrangement
4 a : lacking in restraint or power of restraint <a loose tongue> <loose bowels> b : lacking moral restraint : UNCHASTE
5 a : not tightly drawn or stretched : SLACK b : being flexible or relaxed <stay loose>

Brought (as said)
Da instead of the
Wiv instead of with
Jus instead of Just
Zorst instead of Exhaust
etc etc i could go all night(missus wishes )

Sorry but you have all missed the most annoying one, in the world, off the list:
'arks'
as in, 'I arksed 'im wot is name woz.'
The word is 'ASK'...plain and fcuking simple
Why in the flying fcuk do people do this to our language!! They even say it on TV now....Ian 'Donut' Wright being one of them.
God help the next generation....
[/Victor]
Beat that one!

lol, Guess I have been 'well brunged up mate.'
That and having a A-Level in Latin and English...makes you appreciate the language more.
I really am getting old!

Lots of our counties have little idiosyncrasies like this .
