Default Pence per Mile Expenses?

What do people get paid per mile when using their own car for business. I get 30p a mile which I reckon is a bit cheap. It barely covers petrol (FRS ) and its supposed to cover wear and tear.

up to 2001cc 30p per mile
>2001cc 40p or thereabouts

Drops after so many miles, all inline with the Inland Revenue guidelines as far as I'm aware.

Reminds me, must check my new cc's, my business mileage may be worth more than I think
