Default Tom Tom GO Advice needed!!!!

Hi,

Thinking about taking myself down to Halfords at lunchtime to treat myself to a Tom Tom Go.

At £299 the 300 seems my best bet but could someone tell me the main differences between the 300 and 500?

I dont go abroad much so UK maps are fine.

I think the 500 is about an extra £130 than the 300 and im just wondering what justifies the extra cost!!???

Cheers,

Mark

The 500 has additional maps and Bluetooth. The bluetooth allows it to connect to a mobile phone, and offers some good extras. It acts as a handsfree kit - using the speaker and microphone built into the 500. Tomtom weather is a free service - it allows you to type in any destination, and check the current weather and temperature. Tomtom traffic is a subsription sevice - around 50quid a year. It constantly monitors for traffic jams, and will re route round them. There are also other services to be launched.

the 300 is 289 in PC World.

Thanks guys.

I have a proper hands free kit in the car already so that would be no use to me.

does the 300 allow me to use the weather service?

Cheers,

Mark

It will not do hands free bluetooth but they will connect to your phone and use the gprs for the other features, which is pretty irrelevant because as jim says they are shite
