nope, it's a cast alloy block done by the company that makes the 'millington' blocks.

It isn't. E.g. Ferrari used to make 180 degree V engines. Those are not boxer - why is the question for you, I know but maybe it's fun to find it out yourself? I can tell if you want though..

Why crap? Look all right to me. Crankshaft and piston movements are the differences.

My understanding (which Im sticking with at the moment. Well until somone can find a decent explanation) is that the term Boxer doesnt come from where the pistons hit TDC in relation to each other. But simply the fact the pistons run horizontal. Piston timings (to use a made up phrase) has nothing to do with it. A V12 will have 2 pistons hitting TDC at the same time, just like a regular 4 pot. To my mind. V180 is a made up term, by someone that has made the assumption based on 1 engine alone. Not the layout in many different cars.

Best engine ever though is a "H16"

I think they made it up to put "classic" boxer engines from Subaru and Porsche into different box.

There s a couple strange engineson the market, there even was I think Renault engine that had 4 cylinders in line and one in "V". (5 cylinder engine)
