Default HELP POWER DRAINING ???

If i leave my car in the garage for more than 2 days the battery dies!!!

Now i just went out to put it on charge and it would not even charge it was flashing from charging to charged/maintaing and making funny noises! Also as it was doing this i could see the light on my alarm dimming up and down!

So disconected the sounds, tv's ect from the battery thinking this may be causing it......Put it on charge and still the same! Disconnect everything of the battery and charge it and it is fine! Something is seriously draining my power

Any idea how to find out what

Agree with Spadge - swap it with another and try that before you start panicking

btw if its every 2 days that sounds a large drain, a interior light wouldnt do that i dont think as it was taking a week for mine

what alarm you got on it and try and diable that first ( though hide it in th garage incase a memeber sees this advice and tows the car away )

Its always locked in the garage lol Its a clifford G5 the 650 i think. I was going to try disconecting that but the wire from the Alarm don't go to the battery It seems to go behind the heater box then into the dash behind the clocks area

you are going to need a voltage test meter to find the fault.but they can be bought for 5 to 6 quid, try somewhere like woolworths for one.charge the battery and put the black wire from test meter on the negative of battery . red on the positive side. voltage reading should be about 12.7 v. if it stays the same after say 3 mins ,the battery is ok. connect the earth wires to the battery, then connect each wire one at a time to the posative side. checking voltage reading each time.when you connect the circuit that is draining the battery ,the reading on the voltmeter will slowly start to drop. ie 12.6 12.5 12.4 ect. most of the ones ive tested turn out to be the alternator. hope that helps
