Xos of the weather and the massive hole in the battery tray! How can I get the water out of the footwell! I think I have prevented it from getting in now until the replacement panels come and I can get them fitted butwhat is the best way to get the water out before it fucks the carpet and maybe rots the footwell?
Got loads of towels in there at the mo?
Thanks!

I have thought about getting a cover for it but then it will make it worse with it being wet inside unable to dry

do the hairdryer thing then mate....sure you have a gf/mum/sister you can steal a giant one from
I think if you blot the actual wet areas from the carpet ur better off then leaving the towels off, as it can't dry when it isn't exposed to air.....so towel it down then hairdryer it?...

as above mate, the sound proofing needs to come out. I hoovered mine out with a vax carpet cleaner then blotted the carpet nearly dry, thought it had done the trick but it started to smell, got the carpet up and the stench was unreal
Even though the carpet was dry the sound proofing was soaked so i just chucked it and threw the carpet back down on bare metal

I ripped the lot out when I had a new tray welded, the soundproofing is what holds the water in and needs to be binned, got a load of underlay from a carpet fitters
Only problem was, I steam cleaned the carpet and the fucking thing shrunk and never fitted back in the car properly so I ripped it all out again

You will NEVER get the sound deadening dry without taking it out and letting it dry seperately!!
Although it will probably fall to bits when you attempt to remove it
