My poor little car slipped some teeth on the cam belt and no longer goes

And if it makes you feel better, mine did the same pretty much bang on a year ago. Worst bit was I knew it needed changing

So, ended up costing Ł1350 But that included WRC gasket, head ported & polished, brand new ARP-style bolts, oil service, 16 brand new valves and guides etc.

On the plus side, if there is one, the top end is lovely and quiet

Oh and you may not be as lucky as I was, you could have knackered pistons, bores, head...

i had similar last year when the end of my crank just fell off

on the m25 i popped the bonnet and found the crank pully resting on the fan wiring with vthe end of the crank in it..

Ended up with all inlet valves bent but the rest was fine
