Default Plumbing/Heating Experts..?

i'm sure theres a few here soo wondering if anyone can answer a couple of questions for me.

I have a Parkray coal fire which operates a boiler for central heating/hot water. Lit the fire this afternoon and theres about 10mm of water in the bottom of the fire where the ash pan goes, is this just condensation as the walls are a bit damp orr is something amiss?
