Love the Jam, lyrics so relevant to their own period, yet music so timeless

he bought that record from my mate Simon and paid 5k for it so his reserve will be at least that.

Highest ive seen one sell on ebay was Ł6700, which gutted me as i sold that exact copy to a lad in st austell
for Ł2650, he sold it year later for Ł4k, then that bloke sold it on ebay
for Ł6700 18 months later so from me selling it for Ł2650, 2.5 years later
its sold for 67 hundred fookin quid fooked up there

Yeh ok,il give you that...

But its still good, just not up to Mr Weller standard!!

Peacock suite, and Suzy`s Room were still good tunes...

Quality thread!

'When You're Young' is my top tune, but theres too many other good tunes to mention.

Weller is getting the lifetime achievement thingy at next years Brits www.nme.com

If you ever get chance to see Paul Weller Connection (tribute) locally then go and watch... The genuine articlr has been fantastic the two times I've seen him this year too

Got to disagree Lee..

I think he went off oit abit with the SC,but i think stuff like Stanley Rd is just musical perfection!!!!!!!!!!

Either way,the guy is a genious!!!

I'll give you that Pete....

That is a top album, which is probably why Heavy Soul appears so poor in comparison.

ive got Stanley road and do like it very much, and made me want to see him at V, but i prefer the older stuff...

Its usually that way round with me...Like im not too fussed on Joe Strummer with the mascerilos(spl) but loved the Clash...
Only ones it works other way round is the Stranglers. I dont really like the old stranglers stuff, but I really like Hugh Cornwells solo albums
