any way i can check? maybe blasting water through it prior to removal?

IIRC there are two pipes running through the bulkhead, one going in and one coming out, when the car is up to running temp these should be very hot to the touch, the same as the pipes from the rad.

take off those pipes at the bulkhead stu get a hose if you have and a jublee clip wack it on then hose it thru await the orange water

was gonna suggest that but if it's REALLY fooked it could split into a million peices and spill nasty rusty water onto the floor and rot straight through rendering it a write off
