No you need an operator centre, but if your neighbours are ok just do it

correct me if i am wrong but as long as there is not a weight restriction om the road you want to park it in as it is driven on a car liscence then you should be ok

IIRC anything over 3.5 ton needs an operating centre which means you have to state where the vehicle will be parked when not in use ie not on a public highway

What happens when you hire one for private use, e.g house removals?

If the lorry is insured ect all on the road legaly then theres no problems if i was on a night out in the lorry i could park it where i want As long as theres no time and weight restrictions whots the problem

Alvyn Just move it up and down the road once a day lol

because it is only a temporary hire vehicle it wont be parked there all the time so provision for that is built into the O licence, A bit like a long distance vehicle being away from base
