My car on the rollers (Not Ford) Pic's & vid
Well I thought I'd put up a little post of the final bits done to my motor!
Bought the car of a mate of mine (C1ark on here, who now has a moonstone 3 door ) who had kinda killed it
So have basically put a whole new engine in it, and these were the final bit to get done.
A little trip down to Star Performance on wednesday.
Work done:
Full front Poly bush kit fitted
New top mounts fitted
Front coilovers fitted (back already on)
4 wheel alignment
Rolloing road tune.
all for the pretty good price of £250!!!! (not bad eh? )
Some minor adjustments...
then the power down
Here's the run - http://media.putfile.com/G60-VV-on-the-rollers
The ride feels really good now and very tight, a very noticable difference with the new poly bushes fitted
So the outcome of the run was slightly lower than what I was hoping for, but only just, as this was running the std airbox, as I'm still waiting for a hard pipe kit for my induction
Was hoping for 215-220bhp
Actual run - 212bhp
(not bad for being 160 std. )
So Basically, once I fianlly get this kit on, I should be exactly where I was aiming for
Jim did say however that I was running quite rich , and he couldn't get the Co below 2.5! probably down to the injectors. He's also said that the std injectors are more than up to the job in this power range and would be able to get a bit more out it on them
well at least now I've got a figure to work from!

thought about doing a 20V in my old Gti
But when I got this I wanted to make it a good example of the G60, plus with having the reg plate on it, it would have been off if it wasn't.
Yeah the sound of the charger is sweet, really turns heads , and with the boost return on it, gives a nice woooshing sound off throttle

V Nice Cab Muska
It would be interesting with a few things, if I could only find the gear when I really need to It's not all sloppy, but had a shortshift in my old Gti and loved it, a bit different with the cable box's
Looking into a few options though Mk4 shifter
Btw. my brother 'n' law is going to be doing the same as you just now! VR in (my old ) Mk2 sweet conversion!

Looks like quite a tidy install. I notice it's just running the single cooling fan though
are you getting any pics of the rest of it up? seems like a good price too.

yea, im just about to get back out and polish it!
the single fan has always been adequate for cooling, i've not really messed with it too much anyway, bought with the intention of charging it within 6months but change of job etc...
hopefully it should sell at that price.
