true! most only fetch 12-14 g that i have noticed but i suppose the price his set the reserve at reflects the personal labour etc put into the car with it being a complete rebuild! either way a stunning example

The 500 shell is a std 3 door shell , so if a 3 door has been reshelled in to a brand new 3 door shell what is that then ??? a fiesta

If a car has had a new bodyshell but still retains all the genuine parts ( as it left the factory) either new or used then it is still a real car NOT A REPLICA

Not true... if it has been reshelled with a new shell of the correct spec then it's NOT a replica. when an insurance company reshells a car due to accident damage does it then become a replica too?

i did a reshell on a bmw m5 at work a while ago and the bloke was part exing it at a bmw dealership who knew it had been reshelled but didnt say anything about that being a replica

Think some who want 500's, want untouched cars,

I.e original paint work and panels

this car does not.

Its just the way it is for 500's, aswell as loads of other cars, reshells and paint and panels puts some people off.

either way 23k is a fook load of money for a 500

a mate of mine just purchased a 500 a couple of weeks ago totally original in white with 13k miles on it.The car has no mods and no paint and didnt give that money for it

worst i saw was a mate of mine who aquired one of his dad and did the barry boy thing by "modding it" if you call ramraiding ripspeed and giving it a dodgy black and blue respray modding!!!
it was a true tragedy! is the shell actually just a 3 door? with just bumpers and kit or is there slight diffrences?

A replica would be a car thats started life as a 1.6gl or summit and had cosworth parts added onto the GL bodyshell.....

Id have it, if anything id know its been cared for if someone has went to the bother of re shelling it...
