I am helping someone out with an Ebay Fraud investigation, which I very nearly got caught up in (to the tune of nearly £500).

He has asked me to send him the emails that I have including the 'Headers'. What does he mean by this?

Trouble is, I have a Hotmail account and there doesn't appear to be as much info available as there is on an Outlook Email.

Anyone know what it is he needs?

I think he is basically asking for the entire email not just the middle section. Headers normally means, The head of the letter/email, its the opposite to Footers.

I'm not that good at explaining anything but hope this helps!

Hmmm.

I thought that perhaps the Headers described the 'Technical' details such as IP Address/ISP etc etc. The details that you get if you 'Right Click' an Email in Outlook.

He wants to be able to trace the user, so I reckon its that kind of info he needs, I just don't know how to find it.

AFAIK it can't be done from Hotmail accounts

Open hotmail inbox, goto "options" (top right corner) then "mail display settings", then change header options to "advanced".........
