These are the ratios:
Gear ratios
1. 1/ 2.70
2. 1/1.95
3 1/160
4. 1/1.25
5. 1/1.1
Would this be suitable for a road - 1/4mile sprint car?

I don't know what it is. It should be a dogbox used in rallycross.
That car had 'only' 380BHP and 550Nm and the box had never problems with that power.
My engine is 500+BHP so I don't know if it is suitable.
Price is only 2800 euros.

Is there much difference in the gears shown on the pictures compared to standard gears?

is the gear selection for 1st gear on a dog leg ?
looking at them gears i would say its a quaife, looks cheap, brass selector forks, narrow teeth pitch
ane even though the car it cam from only had 300ish horse i would like to bet you dont have anywhere near its 550nm of torque on a 500 horse engine ?

550NM is 405lbs-ft - easily achievable for a 500bhp engine I'd have thought.

not all the ones ive seen !
the majority of the so called 500 horse conversions struggle to make 380ft/lb

I have some more information, the gears are made by a company called BROCEK. I never heard of them, they also make spare parts.
My engine made 492BHP and 540Nm @ 1.8 bar boost so with more boost it should get over 550Nm.

My old engine made 394bhp and 507nm at 4400rpm so it´s possible to get that kind of torque
I own a fixit gearbox, and are WERY pleased with it
