5k seems to get you a snotter, but 6-7k should get you a good car.
the 4x4 saff is by far the best all round cossie.

Saphs are the best cossies imo

3 doors = too old, dated interior, you'd be gutted if you write the shell off.

Escort = Too expensive for what it is. 10-14k? I'd take an Evo thanks

Saph = Choice of drive train depending on your sexual orientation , worth more in bits if you crash it, more discreet and practical every day. Plenty of good 4k cars out there

If I was to buy another it'd be a saph

No not kidding, if you want an A1 late face lift saff with leather and aircon with under 50k on the clock and FSH thats what you can pay
they sell for this too as I have sold 2 in the last 2 years for such money and Duncan at Automotive sells loads at this price

You want a view from a buyer or seller?

2wd no more than 4k 4x4 no more than 5k (very good nick)....if you think by putting fancy goods on your car it will increase the value THINK again....you will have to break it.

..i just sold my Saff for 250 ok minus a few parts

My Escos aint worth more than 10k....but thats STD and i'd get that all day...if i wanted to wait it out i'd get 12k...if i was a complete dreamer 14k...bare in mind STANDARD...i get 10k for mine and 10k in parts!!!My insurance value however is based on the dreamers price!!!!

cheers for the input guys!

Ok, dont tell the wife but im gay, as i want 4x4 I like 4 wheels driving so fook it

Phil, i know ya dont get money back for ya bits. Im not new to the scene ya know.... And you keep mentioning these 'dreamer' prices for escort cossies...I sold mine for 17k mate...beleive what ya will

I iant decided in a long shot as it hasnt always been a car i actually like. Im still hankering over a series one. They are my faveourite RS of all time... You just get a stigma owning one at 27. But as mentioned before i would like to 4x4 cossie one,,, so thats still a plan im considering.

How the fook ill make my mind up i dont know

So its official then! The only people that think a Saff is worth 7-8k are the people with them wedged up their arse with the doors open owing them that kind of money
