There's a guy on some other motoring forums I use called Michael Hipperson. Mainly pops up on Lotus forums.

The guys a bit of a legend. He's an older gent, probably lates 50's. Anyway the guy's minted. I mean seriously rich. He hosts a garden party at his mansion for Lotus owners on the forums.

He's a very entertaining guy and has some amazing motoring stories from over the years and some of the cars he's owned would make you're eyes water. Really decent bloke and despite his obvious wealth he never comes across as flashy. He just shows a genuine love for cars.

This was my trusty friend for 5 years.Flogged mercilessly around the globe.As a car to show off in it was unmatched..its 0 to 60 time was so quick it was difficult to measure.On a trip back from Goring on Thames one night the love interest with me was moaning and moaning about everything in life...blah ..blah....and an XJS came by at circa 100.I followed it onto the M11 got near North Weald where there is a bit of a slope,he started moving across all lanes to stop me coming by.I said to Carol...famous words..'Pull on your harness straps( 5 point Sabelt) we are going to the moon'
