If you have that sort of money to spend, why not get an EVO or an Esc Cos? At least they hold their money and are nowhere near as common as the mass produced Scoob. Even Scoob owners are realising that their cars are no longer iconic and are being called the latest 'chav' cars.

In the New Year I will be looking round for a 2nd car, a Scoob will not be on the list though. At the moment I have narrowed it down to 2 cars, both totally different, but ones that seem to be holding their prices pretty well. I did have 2 types of new cars on the list, but seeing how much prices drop in the first 12 months, have binned that idea.

The new Scoob looks utter wank! The bug eyed car was hideous and they cottoned onto this quickly and changed the lights to make it look a little less nasty and now they balls it right up again and make the new one look like a Seat.

I'd keep the FRS, Scoobies are just far too common. They are a clit car, every cnut has one

Focus or Impreza, there are far more Focus's in the UK than Imprezas.

Focus RS or WR1 Impreza, there will be more Focus RS's than WR1s.

Doesn't sound like it'll be much quicker than the FRS other than off the line where the 4wd will count but in 3 years the FRS has lost a max of 5-6k whereas that scoob (Ł29,995 new) has lost up to 10k in it's first year....what'll it be worth this time next year? I'd guess about the same as a good FRS!!

True but not of the RS variety whereas every twat and his gran has an Impreza turbo

When there's so little to distinguish between the vast majority of them, who cares

I stand by my comment and would keep the Focus. If for no other reason than when it comes sale time the Focus will be worth more than a tenner

I've got an Esc Cos too which I won't be selling, but I still won't be looking at Scoobs in the new year, top of the list at the moment is an Evo, which IMO is a far better car and better looking.

I think for Ł20K you can get

]

P1 - Which is still relatively rare This one is Ł14K on Piston heads
(in fact theres a 22b on Autotrader for Ł25,500)

Evo 6 This one is Ł14K on Lancer Register

GTR 33 (this one from GTR.co.uk for Ł17K)

Plus the obligatory E36 M3 or maybe a miley early E46

WR1 is a far better car then a focus rs 300bhp from standard against 212bhp,4wd vs front wheel drive and all the special addition scoobys hold there money ok ie RB5..P1..STI type r most people stick them all in the same catergory when they are much better then the wrx or 2000turbo which are the base models.Asking on a ford site will get a load of focus lovers read a few road tests evo mag slated the rs and gave the scooby 5 stars personally i love both and to be honest after having a scooby you do get jarred off with all the other ones that you see but the wr1 is the daddy
