Been playing this web based game for a while now and thought that some of you lot here might like it!

Its called Pirate wars 2. Basically you are a pirate, so you have to hire crew get a boat and go pirating or trading between ports!

Its good fun in lunch breaks at work, try it and see what you think.

After playing Planetarion for a few years, a while back, I decided to stay away from games I can play in work.......got a little too involved with Planetarion, it started getting in the way of work & sleep (ie. setting my alarm for 5 minutes to every hour, so I wouldn't miss a "turn") & freetime!

 

Th updates only happen every twelve hours so its not massively involved, just good fun

have i got to train them first?

 

its training days in real time? i.e will it actually take 3 days?

 

You dont have to train your crew at first you can just go and do a bit of trading.

The prices for items within each port fluctuate throughout the day, so buy them low in one port and sell them high in the next! Easy money!

Best to get a passenger ship at first and do a bit of trading in that, the best things i have found to trade in are Avast weekly subscriptions. Buy them low at about 5000 and sell them high at about 10000.

Remember though that not all ports trade in the same items so if you buy something in one port make sure that the port you are heading to trades the same item.

In pirate wars a day lasts 12 hours, and update happens at 12 midday and midnight!

Yes i think its safe to say that you should reset your account and get a cheaper ship! If you cant pay your crew they will eventually start to mutiny!

Im jus starting out, swithering with a passenger ship and an Evil ship! hmm which one shuld i take....i feel kicking ass is the way for me rather than trading at this point, but maybe trading is the best to start out with, but again i dont know prices so im gonna kick some ass first.....lol!

 

ok jus realised it's a bit vague, u dont get to see whats going on doh i wanted to see the pirates

 

It takes a bit of time to get going but is good fun.

My advice is do some trading first so you can fully tool up your ship with all the cannon upgrades and other stuff, obviously training your crew as you go.

Then sell your current ship and go attacking the top people with a battleship!
