Have u tried playing it using Divx? I often get clips that wont play properly in WMP but will play fine in Divx....... As said its probably a codec issue....

I get this too! When i try and watch vids with the laptop on top of the washing machine. I have since moved the laptop to the kitchen work top and this seems to have worked.

It could be the CPU in the pc is being used 100%, this happened to my nephews pc, he was watching a video he downloaded and it was playing the sound ok but was skipping on the video.

It was a combination of low memory and CPU under full load. Try running a spyware scan incase your pc is infected. I noticed on another post you said you used limewire, this is ridled with spyware and other crap.

Firstly, try another form of player. Div X, Winamp, Power Dvd etc, etc. Secondly, press ctrl+alt+del when watching your video and see if the cpu usage is maxxed out. Thirdly, what version of Media Player have you got ? Help - About will tell you this. Forthly, is it a film, music video, or smut that you are watching ? Either could possibly be corrupt in some form, possibly re-download it from a different source
