why does my pc when si first start up go straight to my Windows folder instead of to my desktop?

Remove it from the startup folder. Click start, go to programs, startup, and then delete what's there

there is only 2 programs in my start up folder my bluetooth conection and acrobat

also i seem to be having a problem with FIREDAEMON ???

Mate, click start bar- run- then type in msconfig then when the box loads up click startup tab at the top and theres a list of everything that loads up on start up, windows folder should be on there in your case so un-tick the box and click apply then ok.

Let us know how you get on.

i got a warning box saying that the config tool was running but i did i want it not to be so it ticked the box and ok and off it went

right that worked,one more thing i got rid of a trojan yesterday and now i have a problem with "FIREDAEMON" in START\CONTROL PANEL\ADMIN TOOLS\SERVICES\SERVICES LOCAL

i have 3 firedaemon services running,i have disabled them for the time being is this correct and can they be deleted? if so how?
