over the last 2 weeks the car has been stripped for a complete respray.. i brought it home from the bodyshop with no probs.. but now i have built the car up it wont start... it has had new locks all round.. excl' ignition.. now when the ignition is on the ford alarm led is flashing at a fast rate constently and the car wont start..
please help because i really want to get out and drive it now its all looking bling..

the ford alarm is not used anymore by the way as there is a clifford fitted to the car.. it doesnt have the little chip in the key anymore and never has done since i have owned the car!

on the back of the door locks if we are on about an escos there should be a round thing that sits round the doorlock with wires coming off so when you turn key in door it spins this thing to turn std alarm off (the alarm may not be in use but this might be the prob). i had the same trouble with my car when i did the new locks i hadnt put this thing back on it was just hanging in the door and it was set so when i turned the key it did nowt cos it was not on the lock, i put it bk on and prob solved

SORTED IT!!

unpluged the standard alarm turned the ignition on then pluged it back in.... all is sweet and i'm lovin it.........
