not sure if this has been posted before.... but have you seen this?

http://www.rallyzone.co.uk/story.asp...ws&name_id=819

looks quite cool the new shape focus WRC - not sure what engine it has if based on the ST model?? regs wouldnt allow 5 cly would they?

anyway.... what was the old RAC rally usually late on in the year between now and december?
does this still happen?

I want to go watch some rallying where can I find info etc?
(actually interested in watching club rallying if there is any localish)

Dont think amount of cyls is an issue, as long as its a production engine, they will have to de-stroke it down to 2litre tho.

BUT i put money they just base it on a whatever Focus comes with the non-turbo 2litre 16v Duratec lump, and turbocharge that, as per WRC rules....

yeah there is a regular 2.0 litre petrol at the moment.

can't see what benefit the ST base would have?
as the focus is hardly struggling for size etc like the 206 was.

im pretty sure the st is just a tweaked new focus anyway rather than anything significantly diff shell wise

De-stroking a 2.5 5yl to a 2litre might benefit them over using a production 2litre 16v.

BUT with the Duratec being so good id be suprised if they dont use it.
