55.39 i think. funny old track to test the cars round tho. a few longer straights would separate the quick cars from the good handling cars!

Rudey-repeated tonight at 11.55pm

Mattbibs-Totally mate a few bigger straights and there would probably be a big difference!Still very decent little motors though!

timb551-If i wasn't in the middle of trying to get a house mate i'd be having one as a run around!(And with a pumaspeed bodykit too, mega cool WRC look)

True mate really good cars! Mate works at Ford as a saleman and av had a shot of one, total go-karts!
Av been told that the ST has a focus st170 engine in it(dont know if you can confirm) but with a different ecu therefoe only giving it 150bhp,therefore would you not also be able to change the ecu back to the Focus st170 one giving you 20bhp before cams and an exhaust?

Nah I think ST170 and ST150 is a diff engine

I think the lady has exhaust, manifold, sports cat, induction kit and magnecor leads and she has about 180BHP from it!

I dont like them though!

I think they look too much like the standard models! If you look at say an Escort Cosworth and an Escort Popular or an RS turbo from a pop plus you can tell the difference straight away!

I think if they were about 190-200BHP as standard it would have been a different story but only having 20BHP up on a 1989 RS Turbo is not really the way forward!

The stripes also I think are a bad idea....

Just my opinion though....

they dont have the same engine as the ST170, its a duratec, inlet on front etc

they are proppa cars, took one to the ring, great handling but gutless on the straights. could keep up with cossies etc on the twistys, but on the straights they fukked off lol

and at 15k on the road.... i know what i would buy....

and it would have escort on the back

Defo for 15k there's only one winner and that's Escort power ,however a year or so and you'll start to see these alot cheaper and then one could be possible as a daily runner that you can have some serious fun in!

trouble is theirs no market these days in making a car look too different.. the money is in making the car NOT stand out.. you only have to look at the focus RS .. the escort cossie if released now would probably end up looking a lot less different

Would still put on one of the bodykits that pumaspeed are doing, they are very nice, similar to the Fiesta RS prototype thing Ford had at National day last year!

£10500 from some the internet traders if you're prepared to wait 6 weeks and arent too fussy about what options you have

ps. I'm sure it would be an even better car if it came with the 16's ( 17's optional) like it does in Europe.

The main reason i didnt get a cossie is because i wanted a brand new car. I had enough fun stuffing money into my escort turbo and to have a car with warranty is great.

I know a cossie is a great car and i have always wanted one, but i have to think fairly practically as i do a fair few miles. I do love my ST and with a little more power it will be a great car.

I think they look brilliant!

With their sharp lines and Eighties style, big, full on stickers, they remind me so much of the S1 RS Turbo. Even the arches are in the style of a full on Rally wide boy! Best looking car I have seen in a long time to my eyes anyway!!!

I can't wait to own one when they are about 4/5 years old and have decreased in value to about 4-5k

Power wise, given today's traffic, they are bang on, and will probably still return 30-35mpg! A proper modern hot hatch

Love' em

I have a white one with blue stripes. wasnt sure about the stripes when i got it but looks good on a white car. Only mods done so far is a kn induction kit which sounds nice. Maybe a miltek exhaust and a bluefin when it comes out and hopefully will see 170bhp
