Default pc screen has spazzed out

Just noticed that now on two occasions the pc has crashed,
The screen spazes out looks like an old spectrum loading then the screen switches off saying No signal, All I can do is reboot and then it seems ok again, could this be because of the grafix card as it never happend before I fitted it.
I have been having a prob with the card as you can see in these other posts

Have you changed the resolution at all, I see you was running it in 1024 x 768, sometimes upon changing it to a higher setting that the monitor does not support it goes all tits up. On the otherhand, it could well be your graphics card. I personally would send it back

I have put my old card back in to see what happens. What setting do you think I should have set it to? It's a 15" lcd screen.
