Default cossie gear box

does any one no how many bolts hold the box in on a 2wd saff as i cant seem to find last one
thanx for any help

4 bolts hold box to bellhousing
2 bolts hold hanger to chassis

4 nuts hold xmember to the floor

7 bolts hold the box to the engine inc the 10mm one holding the plate between box and engine + 3 starter motor ones. There are just 4 others bolting the crossmember to the chasis.

Don't know what Matt and Wyn are talking about as there are deffo 6 main bolts holding box to engine! 2 at the top and 2 down each side!

........ But you only need to remove the 4 that secure the box to the bellhousing to remove the box

Why do some people remove the 4 bolts to the bellhousing, leaving the bellhousing in there, surely its easier removing the bellhousing from the engine the normal way

Wyn that is a shite way of doing it imo
If your going to have the box out its well worth removing it complete with bell housing and check the clutch etc....
