Big_Wig,
We are on about a standard engine here..... not one with a GRP A head and different cams! If you achieved those figures on a standard cossie engine with a T34, I want to know the secret (as I suspect everyone else does)!
My torque figure on a standard engine at the boost I was running was certainly within the realms of what everyone else has acheived on a standard engine with that turbo.

Mike,
FWIW... the figures I am quoting are from Tony mapping it..... which was not OFF THE SHELF (and I was quoted literally that this was taking the standard setup to a higher limit and power than your quoted "shonky" chips)..... unless you are referring to the OFF THE SHELF chip I also had from Ahmed.... as being shonky?!?

had mine on the rollers today
360bhp & 362lb/ft
max torque at 4400rpm
these were the rollers, please have a good read round the site and in particular the 'how we test on the rolling road' section, before you tell me they are inaccurate ( just so you can tell me why )

Stu,
I know mate...... just that Mike Blowbird likes to drop himself in the brown stuff, when he doesnt actually realise he is doing it. Remember "Shonky" was his word, not mine!
All in jest.

sure its not the engine that makes the lower figures, cracked turbo housings ect
chips stay the same
personaly youy spec for the boost and turbo are all wrong and a off the shelf chip will affect it as the fuel will be rich then lean when the cams come on the play time
hence why i mentioned it
prob why you only run 20psi boost too as the chip cant make good fuel at the top without affecting the whole fuel range ( though i could be talking total bollocks and could be other reasons )

I reckon I know what Sean's getting at here.
My old saff with a totally 100% standard top and bottom end with greens and a T3 only made 266 @ wheels at 18 psi at Nobles..........
All this talk of 350bhp stage 3s can be a little suspect, especially on std 2wd intercoolers etc etc
See if I can find the graph.................

Mike,
Your WAY behind the times (no surprise there though).... I know of THREE (yep count them 1, 2, 3) that load the car appropriately, that reach overboost as seen on the road and original targets. All in the midlands.
Like you say... dont comment unless you have tested... and believe me I have done plenty of testing.
