XBOX LIVE QUESTION!!
Ok peeps does anyone know how i configure my pc to allow my xbox to share my internet connection....im trying to use a ics connection to set up..
i have a crossover ethernet cable going from my pc to my xbox but no joy...please help anybody as they are all waiting for me online

Check your ISP allows Xbox Live connections. If yes
Try opening Network connections in the start menu, right click ina black spot and open properties. Right click on Your LAN point and open properties, then go to advanced and check that you computer is allowing other entworks to access through its internet or whatever

took me fookin ages to sort this out! mine just didnt like ANYTHING i put in! make sure ALL the settings are correct,then with the pc and xbox on try unplugging the modem for 5 mins then plug it back in,this helps sometimes!

you checked your ip address? and your primary and secondary isp settings? etc etc...? you know its gotta be set up as a slave to the pc? ie one digit higher? and the network is established on the pc? god im crap at this but it took ages! just on,off on off! make sure EVERY last detail is one hundred percent correct!

You might be best of buyiny a proper ADSL router and connect the xbox into that rather than the pc.
Thats the setup ive got and it works a treat. Xbox pics the connection up as DNS and you dont have to configure nothing

bollox i hope so i just asked the guy in the shop...it just says a ethernet hookup cable on the box 
..just read on the box that this is a straight through ethernet cable and some modems may require a crossover cable so im guessin ive goit the wrong one
my modem is just a speedtouch thingy u get with pipex

Where you going to get it? If PC World its a cable thats yellow in colour, max length is 25m and it will say belkin ethernet cable on the box.

i got it from game mate...so if i get the right one it should plug in my ethernet port and bobs ur uncle??.........god i should of got a router
