Default is Oli's the higest powered CVH so far ?

Just a simple question really...

Made some awesome power yesterday 322bhp..

Was wondering if anyone had any higher figures.

Not wanting to start an arguement or rubbing this in peoples faces - have to explain that on this bbs now

Anyone ?

Fair play to Ollie. That's got to be right at the top of the heap. Is Ollie still running a CVH or has he changed to ZVH/ZT?

1.9's usually make less bhp than a 1.6 because of the engine...

So care to explain that a bit better LOL

A small compared to a 1600 as to consume the same amount of air you either have to run even lower CR or more rpm.

Agree though that fundamentally its all about airflow to get the numbers, if you can manage to consume about 30lbs then you are going to make 300bhp ish, and the extra cc doesnt make a massive different to wether or not you can do that.

You would need more RPM on a 1600 though to do the same, or lwoer cr, and lower cr comes with its own (fairly minor in the grand scheme of things) issues like not having the same cylinder pressures at the end of the exhuast stroke to empty the cylinder with.

300bhp+ on a CVH is a huge achievement with its 1.6 or 1.9 or whatever.

Aren't they sposed to be better for torque though?

Not that I'm that bothered as both of mine are staying 1600

I dont think mine will go much past 300 because i've got a L-bend (like the std T3) rather than a cossie down pipe. Karl hasn't said anything about this but i've heard from a few people that this might become restrictive above 300bhp?

What one are you running Tim? .55?

Nice! Moving the turbo over to above where mfi unit used to be?

I just want mine to work again

I was supposed to be coming to the rolling road to do some running in miles, but things took a turn for the worst last weekend and its back with karl to be taken apart again.

Congrats on the results though

Toms is nearly finished, so not yet and Gus's has just been finished, but the loon is now stripping the shell for track

Haven't heard Tony Turbo mentioned yet, his hasn't beat Oli's if it made 322 but still a massive figure from a 1.6, 313BHP IIRC!
