Trackday today @ Bedford.. **with pics**
Still grinning.. First real trackday for me, and what a fookin day its been A1 rally sport were up there today, but no Steve Scott... cars were looking quick.. Talk about getting the track day buzz...
My opinion on trackdays has changed loads.. They are actually very safe etc, and Bedford is the perfect track for learning in my opinion... plenty of run offs for 4wd drifts , nice long straight, and the full circuit was mental
Mate done 3 1/2 tanks of fuel today, at a pound a litre Car ran faultless... drove there, ragged it too fook ALL day, no probs, drove home.. this is why you pay what you do for cars like EVO's... unreal.. tbh, nothing went past us (i know its not a race ) and we pretty much over took everyone that was in sight What a buzz... Its not until you go out on the track, that you actually realise cars limits etc..
heres a few pics anyway.. (now where can I buy a track car)

thats all.. what a dissapointment after the hype
seriously tho.. I fookin loved it dont get me wrong, country lanes etc are all good fun, but its on the track thats the real experience / laugh.. can see why you all love it so much
p[ics dont explain it.. you need the sound..
the bloke in the ferarri took us out.. sounded lovely.. if a little slow but really solid Also, bloke in the mk1escortagreed to take uys for a spin as a passenger but I wnt in the evo got carried away and left.. I really wanted a blast inb it as well, as it doesnt drive itself like the evo

nuts
no, not like that... I mean, that before I went, I really thought, fook taking my car to one of these days.. asking for trouble, in the sense of smashing it up, getting smashed into etc.. So I mean safety reasons..
But after today, its extremely safe and very well organised. My main concern was things like, what happens if you spin it, you'd be in the barriers.. but thats so not the case.. having seen an M3/Porshe and Ferrari soin loads of times today..

20K+ Super Poster.
theyre fine as long as you don't "do a jim" and check your car over before going on track. i went out with no pads and 2 fucked tyres... if i'd have just checked before hand i'd have saved myself a huge repair bill.
ps I CANT WAIT FOR BEDS DAY! i must remember to book tho

now you know mate why we do track days and not only that "power" is everything on a track
it's how a car set up that matters with decent brakes ,suppension , handling ..
whats the point of peeps have a mega bhp engine and they can't go around corners or stop the only good thing with a high powerd car is the straight line speed
thats why with my car atleast it has an allround package not just a engine
although peeps think they got a good car on the road.. put it on a track it's different ball game because your going alot faster on a track than you would on the road althought you do think you are because you haven't got any signs ,lamp posts things like that thats roughtly give you a indication of how fast your going on the rd
trackdays are awesome
