Default Question about valves?

hi all

if you suspected a valve problem.. but checked the compression on all 4 cylinders (cosworth engine) and all 4 readings were identical and at 9 bar (low comp engine) would this deduce that all valves would appear to be ok and not bent?

thanks

thing is , timing deffo went out on the belt.. im concerned about valve damage..

pistons have valve cut outs, but i did a comp test and all pots were the same

i re timed the car... started her up and all was fine.. but then she spluttered and cut out and now wont start.. about to check compression again.. but what if all readings are fine?

leakdown test would be better than a compression test, but if its reading at 9bar on all of them it sounsd like you got away with it.

you still may have cracked the guides etc though, i would take the head off and remove the valves as a matter of good practice to check.
